Housemates, Cole, Aaron & Mitch are the three talented lads behind the “joyous indie-pop”, Kios, creating “vibrant and uplifting melodies hard to ignore”.
In 2017, all three band members moved in together in the hope of pursuing music. A year down the line and we are blessed with a youthful essence of Kios’ debut single, ‘Be Loved’.
This energetic ensemble starts with a catchy riff which is followed by an instant cacophony of indie-pop bliss. Simplistic, yet effective drums provide a backline for the groove of perfectly executed guitar sequences throughout the track. ‘Be Loved’ sustains energy and pace throughout it’s entirety yet still manages to explode engaging the listener.
If you are a fan of the likes of Dan Croll’s song-writing and vocal enhances, Circa Waves’ audience engaging persona and Two Door Cinema Club’s summery, upbeat style, then Kios should be your next discovery.
The band has this infectious aura which translates to the listener in a deeper connection than simply through their debut single – I’m instantly hooked and need to know what’s next. The saddest part of debuts is that as a listener we are left waiting in anticipation, and as much as the sound of a planned EP by the end of summer 2018 is great news, that simply is too far away!
