Felicity is the first track to be taken from The Night Café’s currently untitled EP, set to be released on October 6th. Following on from their debut EP, ‘Get Away From The Feeling’, it is the second release from the band which arrived back in March earlier this year.
Opening with a contorted riff, prompted by frontman Sean Martin’s vivid lyrics, “there’s a way to reach the sunshine in my mind and I’ll take you there for nothing”, The Night Café prove they’ve got the stomach to live up to their songs. A new side of the band is evident, deeper meanings and remarkably catchy lyrics.
What is so compelling about this band, is that no matter what the song, they always adapt and produce flawless music. While they still incorporate the catchy tunes we love, you can see the progression throughout already, suggesting that their second EP will broadly expand their horizons, which is an important factor for bands right now.
Additionally, they will also be heading off on tour with Blaenavon across the UK in November! It will all begin at Sheffield’s Leadmill on 20th November before they will head off to Leeds, Manchester, London, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham, and Bristol.
