School Disco combine post-punk and psychedelia on new track ‘Greenman’

School Disco

School Disco are a three piece garage rock band. Influenced by the likes of Hawkwind and surf-rock, they have enjoyed a successful 2017 including a host of UK tours and supporting Wolf Alice at The Wharf in Tavistock.

Their reputation is growing fast, with 2018 set to be an even bigger year for them. The band have released a brand new track this week, ‘Greenman’, an upbeat psychedelic track that embraces a darker, post-punk side.

There are elements of Hawkwind in the drawn out psychedelia. The trippy guitars and synths sound huge and would make for a colossal experience at one of their shows.

It’s easy to see why their fanbase is increasing because this track combines a dark backdrop with an infectious Beach-Boys-esque melody that meanders its way into the listeners’ head.

This juxtaposition works superbly, pulling you in from the off, and if this is a sign of things to come, then I’m sure we’ll be hearing more of School Disco very soon.

Have a listen to the track below!
