Royal Blood reel us in with new single, “Hook, Line and Sinker”

Royal Blood

There are heavy guitar riffs, it’s obnoxiously loud, of course, none other than Royal Blood.

Adding more to your Royal Blood fix, they have shared a catchy new track called ‘Hook, Line & Sinker’, as well as its corresponding music video. The Brighton rock duo are gearing up to release this single off their upcoming LP, How Did we Get So Dark? on June 16.

Having already exposed the lead single ‘Lights Out’, the band have now released its follow-up track,  premiered by Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show. If you’re looking for a Royal Blood song which is raw and fueled with ferocity, then this song is undeniably for you.  The recording for the LP started in Brussels last November, with producer Joylon Thomas, finishing off in London with co-producer Tom Dalgety.

Inspired by past relationships, the song finds bassist/singer Mike Kerr matching his vocal melodies to an array of provoking riffs, streaked with tinges of a blues sound, whilst drummer Ben Thatcher produces a boisterous beat which isn’t phased throughout the whole song.

The two songs are now available for purchase, with the duo beginning to undertake a summer tour in the US on June 2. That isn’t all of the good news, meanwhile, the band have also announced a European and UK headline tour for you to sink your teeth into.

This is just the start for Royal Blood, so prepare yourself for more vigorous tracks to be released for this album, you’re in for a treat.
