Stockport lads No Hot Ashes are back with more funky indie rock music in the form of ‘Bellyaches’.
Brandishing a familiar blend of synth melodies and never-fail indie-rock attitude that creates a sound which is pretty hard to get out of your head. Their 80s vibes from ‘Cool Cat’ and ‘Goose’ have carried on into ‘Bellyaches’.
The synth melody could easily fit in any disco but the rock vocals and profound guitar riffs make this a spectacular listen. His mancunian tones take a sad turn as the song ends with the slightly depressing line, “sick of losing best friends.”
Isaac Taylor, Luigi Di Vuono, Jack Walsh and Matthew Buckley have gradually been making a name for themselves supporting bands such as local hero’s Blossoms, Prides and Spring King have got their own set of shows coming across the next three months (can find these below). Alongside this they have been booked for major festivals such as Kendal Calling, Y Not Festival and Tramlines.
