Listen: JUDAS – Some People

JUDAS

Seeping into the indie scene with an aura of quiet confidence; JUDAS blows it out the water with an eclectic new track; ‘Some People.’

A truly dynamic, well-grounded track – featuring the potent voice of frontman; John Clancy, and the proficient musicality of the band as a whole. Undiluted vocals and the steady strum of rhythm guitars surface from the softened wash of ill-defined voices and chords,  hitting you like a gasp of fresh air as the song hits the ground running.

Clancy’s lucid vocals draw you in as the chorus erupts into huge drumbeats and a thick instrumental. The guitar parts are flawless across the board with Judas, building up each verse and thundering into each chorus. Blackmore’s guitar licks, reminiscent of the high-octane instrumentals in Circa Waves’ latest album, fortify each verse, filling any gap with fragments of brutal riffs. Judas have left nothing untouched, exposing everything they have in 3:34 minutes of attitude ridden energy.

Hitting major UK cities with a cultivated attack, the London four-piece are unleashing their offensive across the country; taking everywhere from Edinburgh to Brighton by storm. Previous tracks have already seen Judas set the bar a notch higher than the usual; bringing together unhurried vocals and sweet-toned guitar solos so seamlessly. ‘Some People’ has the band on ladders, nailing the bar so far above the rest that it’s barely even visible.

Exactly what you want from a classic alternative-rock single; the up-and-coming indie anthem of 2017.
