Greatest Discovery Nomination #5 – Marsicans

Marsicans

Throughout the year we strive to discover new emerging talent within the music industry. With a mini-music revolution taking part, bands are constantly forming up and down the country with new and innovative ideas and takes on the current music norms. With 2016 drawing to a close we are going to be nominating 10 bands who we feel are our greatest discoveries.

From the sweat filled mosh pits at Leeds Brudenell Social Club, to the sophisticated applause at Matlock’s Twenty Ten, we’ve been following Marsicans across country all year.

So far this year, we’ve featured 2 live reviews, 2 exclusive interviews, 1 EP review, a new music alert and 2 song of the weeks on just Marsicans! It’s fair to say we’ve caught the bug.

They performed at Glastonbury for the first time this year and in an exclusive interview they said they were, “Incredibly excited, we’ve wanted to go to the festival as kids and for some of us, our first time will be going to perform! Really exciting!”.

Over the year they also released their latest Abscene EP. The EP itself has found fantastic reception from the music community as it quickly obtained Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ accolade.

Overall it is an honour to have discovered Marsicans and therefore well worthy of our Greatest Discovery Award

The winner of each category will announced on 3oth of December.
