Liverpool Lads Seatbelts have buckled up as they share their debut single ‘Hey, Hey Tiger!’
The new project started over a drunken phone call between two friends as James Madden and Ryan Murphy from Hooton Tennis Club form the indie quartet.
‘Hey, Hey Tiger!’ is an upbeat, head spinning introduction to their catchy beat. Accompanied by the procession-like, percussive hits of James’ Mums chip pan that will certainly leave the listeners ears fried.
There’s a reminiscence of Hooton Tennis Club riffs, effervescent electronics and fuzzy guitar effects throughout. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. The beat is groovy and the vocals just glide over the trembling bass riff.
The track is taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Songs For Vonnegut’ which is expected in May.
