Indie rock band Vacation Manor is a relatively new band, forming in late 2014 when they met at a festival in Lynchburg.
They made quite a splash in 2016 following the release of their debut EP ‘Girl, Say’ – which has already had over 2.5 million plays on Spotify and was featured in stores playlists across America including GAP and Starbucks.
The band is made up of Nathan Towles (guitarist and vocals), Cole Young (drummer), Dane Spearman (bassist), and Carson Cody (keyboard player) have been performing across the East Coast opening up for prominent acts Magic Man, Dawes and Colony House.
Their most recent release was back in September of last year. ‘Fading’ is an upbeat song with strong indie summer vibes. The drums aren’t too heavy but remain eminent throughout the track whilst the guitar riffs make the song incredibly catchy and melodic. Their most popular song on Spotify is ‘A Toast and a Spirit’. This is slightly calmer than ‘Fading’ however, it is still a great song. The drums have a far stronger presence on this track.
Vacation Manor are currently midway through a US tour and UK fans will be disappointed to hear that there hasn’t been an announcement for a tour in the UK just yet, but nevertheless, it is still a very underrated band that all fans of indie music should check out.
