Being a UK website, it would be very easy to miss such talent that is only a plane away. But due to dedication we want to highlight the significance that international music makes to the industry as a whole. It’s very likely that bands will often make an impact into other countries and create a following across all parts of the globe. Here’s a band that we would love to come to the UK sometime.
Rising star is American artist Day Wave (Jackson Philips) has had one heck of a 2016. With an EP, new single and a Spotify session the bloke and his backing band are enjoying themselves out there whilst creating some amazing music. He also recently just played their first ever arena show at Live105’s Not So Silent Night in support for Green Day and Bastille. Now for only being around two years, that’s pretty impressive going.
Day Wave melds 80’s vices with top-down synths, sweetly driving us into a deep sleep that shimmers with an optimistic, upbeat arrangement with lo-fi instrumentation has grasped America with full force to cement his take in the music scene.
The winner from each category will be announced on December 30th.
