2018 Ones To Watch #21 – RedFaces

RedFaces

Sheffield has always been a home for great indie bands like Reverend and the Makers, Pulp and, of course, Arctic Monkeys. Now, after bursting out onto the music circuit in 2015 with a demo of ‘Katie Come Home’ – their action-packed three-minute wonders are .

The young lads, Harry Lyon (Vocals/Guitar) Isaac White (Bass/ Backing Vocals) Ryan Laycock (Guitar/Backing Vocals) Charlie Yapp (Drums) strengthened their presence with the release of three singles; ‘Kerosene‘, ‘Wise Up‘ and ‘Take It or Leave It’ – RedFaces received BBC Introducing and Radio X airplay, as well as our exclusive Song Of The Week spot for ‘Kerosene’.

The band had a jammed-packed year at Great Escape Festival, Dot to Dot, Truck Festival and Community Festival as well as two UK tours – the band were certainly kept entertained. Also, with a UK tour less than three weeks away (February 8) there’s no time to rest for the quartet.

Their melodic songs and tight vocal harmonies, backed with an upbeat rhythm are fast and joyful to let loose and go crazy. RedFaces are a force that are going to destroy 2018. Just watch it.
