Wolf Alice release dreamy track ‘Heavenward’

Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice are back and bigger than ever! The indie four-piece have been absolutely killing it recently in the lead up to their sophomore album ‘Visions of a Life’. With three single releases prior to this from the upcoming album, this fourth one is not to be missed.

‘Heavenward’ sounds exactly how you’d think it would give the title, and yet it’s so much more. Frankly, I’m struggling to find a way to describe it without using the word heavenly. It’s an absolute anthem of dreamy floating guitar riffs and soft screeches blaring into the delicate dulcet tones of Ellie Rowsell. The fact that a group that started from DIY styles like their track Fluffy and then went to as massive a sound as ‘Heavenward’ is a feat not to be taken lightly. ‘Heavenward’ purely is a massive track. It’s totally consuming and no matter what you’re doing at the time ‘Heavenward’ fits it.

‘Heavenward’ is off the upcoming album ‘Visions of a Life’, the successor to Wolf Alice’s massively successful debut album ‘My Love is Cool’. Since the debut’s release, the group have been touring what seems almost non-stop, then they disappeared the write and record the second album. After the announcement of the new album touring began again. An intimate venue tour saw the group head back to their roots and put on some of the best shows in modern indie rock. They have an upcoming tour for the album as well as some in store shows as part of the new album’s release.

‘Visions of a Life’ is out 29th September on Dirty Hit Records
