Rationale releases ‘Into The Blue’ ahead of debut album

Rationale

Rationale’s latest single, ‘Into the Blue’, is an outstanding display of vocal capability, and musical dexterity. After his debut single under the name of Rationale, ‘Fast Lane’, the Zimbabwe-born/London-raised musician was clearly set to make more stylistically imprecise and genre-bending tracks with a strong beat, and fine vocals.

‘Into the Blue’ is taken from Rationale’s upcoming self-titled debut album: due to be released on October sixth. The album follows EP releases such as 2015’s ‘Fuel to the Fire’ and this year’s ‘Vessels’. The album will feature previously released songs in a compilation of what promises to be some of Rationale’s best work; ‘Into the Blue’ musically resembles more of Rationale’s more recent releases, but with the inclusion of ‘Fuel to the Fire’ EP tracks on the debut album, ‘Rationale’ appears to be an assortment of soulful, genre-ambiguous and uncategorisable music.

‘Into the Blue’ features an infectiously catchy chorus with wavering vocals that lead into some impressive falsetto. The majority of Rationale’s discography sounds its best in the night, or under the sunset, and ‘Into the Blue’ (although perfectly – if not exceptionally – palatable at any occasion) fits this pattern flawlessly.
