Perth-based quartet POND have released their music video for ‘Colder Than Ice’, taken from their most recent album The Weather.

The video was directed by POND and George Foster and stars Kirin J. Callinan as a dancing cowboy.

The Weather was released in May this year was produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker capturing POND at their finest.

Fresh psych-rock soundscapes envelope tales that manage to be sober, surreal, intimate, and out of this world all at the same time. At once both obsessed with today’s tumultuous global attitudes (‘30000 Megatons’) and as detached from them as humanly possible (’Paint Me Silver’), The Weather provides ideal terrain for both engagement and escapism.

POND recently celebrated the album release with incendiary appearances at End of the Road, Leeds and Reading Festivals, as well as three sold-out residency shows at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club. In a 4* review of the opening night, Guardian called it “a deeply entertaining evening of cosmic wonder”.
