Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds Release New Track ‘Fort Knox’

Former Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher has taken a whole new turn with the tracks from his upcoming album “Who Built The Moon?” The album is set to be released on November 24^th and producer David Holmes said in a statement about the album “People are going to be surprised…I think people love Noel and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, up-tempo beast of a record.”

The song is packed full of synth sounds and a heavy but relatively slow tempo drum beat throughout. The song opens with sirenesque strings, giving the song a more psychedelic rock vibe. It completely unlike any other song he has ever written and yet you can still hear hints of his former 90s Britpop roots. The song offers very little lyrically but what it lacks in this area, it certainly makes up for in the multifaceted sounds on offer.

The song is said to be inspired by Kanye West, following a conversation about his song ‘The Power’. The album also features guest appearances from Paul Weller and Johnny Marr.

To celebrate the release of his third LP, Noel Gallagher and his band are due to embark on a world tour, beginning in February however, he is returning to the UK April to perform around the country. See his list of UK tour dates below:
