After a lot of speculation about their band member Gaz Turkington possibly leaving the band, Lisbon now a trio are back with their new single ‘Tyler’.
Matthew Varty, Joe Atkinson and Alex Wright from Whitley Bay, Newcastle have delved into the alt-pop locker to pick out dark pop melodies packed with color Lisbon are ready to march on into the rest of 2017 with their heads held high ready for a fresh start.
‘Tyler’ was produced by Dan Austin (Mallory Knox/Sløtface) with a fiery return, keeping elements of their tropical pop.
Speaking to Clash about the track; “‘Tyler’ takes its inspiration from Fight Club character Tyler Durden, who leads an army of ‘slaves in white collars’ against the establishment.
“It’s built around today’s lost generation, working for the weekend, dreaming of the California sun.”
