Indie music’s rising stars New Carnival mark their first release of 2017 with single ‘Run For Cover’.
Max, Bertie, Olly and Billy make up the Bristol based four-piece rock outfit that finished off last year on a huge high and carry that over with new sound on monstrous single ‘Run For Cover’.
This up-and-coming four-piece from Bristol don’t waste time when it comes to exhibiting what this song has to offer; introducing the track is the gorgeously nasally buzz courtesy of Max Radford and his guitar riff, accompanied by resonating, tangy drumbeat from Bertie Crawley. The track is grittier than anything that’s come before, with an added snarl and edge. It’s sure to keep their current fan-base happy but will also introduce them to a brand new audience.
Max said, “It’s very cathartic, taking you through the stages of dealing with suppressed anger. It feels like setting something on fire, letting it flame up and burn out.”
The group had a huge 2016 with their single ‘How Dare You’ hotly tipped by Annie Mac who included them in her ‘New Names’ feature. They’ve since gone on to sell out their debut London show, secured support from industry tastemakers and picked up attention after touring with Ten Fé, Get Inuit and Her.
New Carnival play 3 headline shows in London (28th March), Manchester (29th March) & Bristol (30th March) alongside German punk duo GURR. Pick up a ticket here.
