We love new music discovery, you’ll just never know what you stumble across like this trio My Ultra Violet shimmering with blissful indie pop.
Fronted by singer and songwriter Dexy Valentine (best known from LA’s Magic Wand), alongside Coleman Moore and Phil Galloni, the band introduce their unique alt dream pop sound with their debut release ‘Islands’.
The Los Angele trio met at a gig and exchanged numbers which then lead them to record together and finish their forthcoming EP ‘Wilde’ at Fireside Sound studio with producer/mixer Adam Greenspan (Nick Cave, Supergrass, Band of Skulls) and Malcolm Cross (former touring drummer with Spiritualized).
Islands is an 80’s inspired dreamy alt-pop track with smooth vocals and a melancholic yet cheerful melody, that builds to a bold and mesmeric chorus. The band say: “Islands is a summer song about falling in love for the first time…”
The debut EP Wilde will be released later this year.
