Luna Shadows is back with new single ‘Thorns’

Luna Shadows

Multi‐instrumentalist and singer, writer and producer Luna Shadows has released her latest single Thorns’.

Hailing from Los Angels, she is the brains behind all of writing, performing, recording, producing, engineering and editing of her music, although she’s enlisted help from two big mainstream indie pop co‐producers Brad Hale and Thom Powers of the respective bands Now Now and The Naked and Famous.

‘Thorns’ is her second single this year and her ‘Echo Park pop’ vibes are charmingly aesthetic. The contrast between the profound lyrics and moody melodies intensifies the enchanting vibe, much like the rest of her music.

“‘Thorns’ is about the ultimately ephemeral nature of all relationships and my difficulty indulging them with acute awareness that inevitably they will be taken from me. At the same time, the longing to experience love and hope often overrides this common sense.

“When things fade, I can’t help but feel like it was my own fault for ever trying to hold on, for ever feeling hopeful, for attempting to build something lasting with the absolute knowledge that it would never stand in the first place.” Luna Shadows told C-Heads Magazine for the song’s premiere.
