King No-One “will make you nostalgic for a place you’ve never been”

King No-One

King No-One are back with their second track of 2017 ‘Two Islands’, released late last week on Friday the 11th of August.

After naming them 1# on our ‘Ones to Watch in 2017’ list, we at ICM are extremely glad to be finally reviewing a new single by this Yorkshire four-piece. After last years successful o2 Academy tour – among other things – King No-One are continuing to make waves, with a tour commencing in September and appearances at some big festivals including Reading and Leeds.

‘Two Islands’ has exceeded my expectations as a track. The vocal range of lead singer Zach Lount never ceases to amaze me and combined with the dreamy lyrics describing high places and foreign lands, the song epitomizes the new wave of indie rock that King No-One are very much a part of.

I can definitely conclude that ‘Two Islands’ was well worth the wait. It’s a soulful soft-rock anthem that will make you nostalgic for a place you’ve never been, and a person you’ve never met, and I’m expecting big things from this band before the year is out.

‘Two Islands’ is available to purchase on iTunes, or stream now on Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music.
