‘Systematic’ is the brand new track by King No-One, an indie band from York which was formed in 2013. The band consists of singer Zach Lount, drummer James Basile, bassist Alex Townsley and guitarist Joe Martin who have recently grown in popularity, making appearances on stages at YNOT and Reading and Leeds Festival.
King No-One even spoke on their Instagram (@knomusicuk) about how they “stayed the night in the rain in manky tents so [they] could play” their revised set at YNOT as a result of their original slot being cancelled due to health and safety concerns.
The song begins with a catchy bass rhythm followed by the introduction of synth sounds. The simple drum beat accompanies the bass perfectly and the tune is enhanced further by the addition of upbeat guitar riffs whilst singer Zach Lount displays an impressive vocal range. By incorporating an Arctic Monkeys-esque bass line, the song has been given a slight funk feel to it.
