Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes Unveil ‘Wild Flowers’ Video

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes

A Biffy Clyro gig at the Swindon Leisure Centre in 2013 was when I first saw Frank Carter perform, it was a supporting set as part of his old band ‘Pure Love’. We are now in the new year of 2017 and Frank Carter is gearing up for another run with Biffy Clyro, but this time it’s Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and they really mean business this time around.

Frank Carter & The Rattle Snakes have kick started 2017 with their blistering new single ‘Wild Flowers’ which is accompanied by a music video created by Jake Chapman. ‘Wild Flowers’ is to form part of the highly sought after album ‘Modern Ruin’ which hits stores at the end of January.

The song storms out the gates with a driving guitar and bass riff coinciding with a no-nonsense drum beat. Immediately the guitar tones are volatile and visceral and the drum sound is cutting, but there is still ample room for manoeuvre for Frank Carter, who sings about a girl with skin “white like cocaine” in a way that only Frank Carter can.

If the verse wasn’t already enough the chorus swells into a vast wall of distortion with crashing drums and unrelenting bass. The chorus effectively achieves everything a Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes chorus should do; it hits you between the eyes and makes sure that you don’t forget about it. The chorus is proceeded by a high octane instrumental and relaxed drop down, providing good preparation for a final chorus with all guns blazing.

At only three minutes long, ‘Wild Flowers’ is a whistle-stop tour of everything which is great about Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, but would also make a great live anthem. For fans of a youthful Arctic Monkeys, this song will fail to disappoint, but try seeing it as an Arctic Monkeys on steroids.

Here the song at the bottom of the article. Live Dates below.
