Discover: Sleepy Gaucho – Sleepless

Sleepy Gaucho

Experimental folk project Sleepy Gaucho won’t be sending you to sleep, cowboy!

The Madison, Wisconsin-based artist Andy Goitia sprinkles his debut single with soothing and eclectic soundscapes.

‘Sleepless’ is taken from his debut album ‘Another Time’ that screams 70s psychedelic rock – the piano keys at the beginning of the track sound like something out of a dodgy TV commercial.

The organ drone and what sounds like a jamming Fender Rhodes and walking bass providing the runaway bottomless groove that speaks of late nights in cool, maybe decadent bars and night spots in equally cool and decadent cities.

Sleepy Gaucho draws a large influence in roots music and songwriting from the likes of Neil Young and The Kinks while also exploring the freedom of the studio.
