Discover: Oranj Son – ‘Radio Wires’

Oranj Son

Synth-punk trio Oranj Son hail from the well-known Cheshire town, Ellesmere Port and have already been making some noise across the region.

Brothers Kieran and Matthew Linford and Patrick Cummins have got backing from BBC Radio 6 legend Phil Taggart who described them as ‘absolute perfection’. This is a huge deal for a small band only just starting out.

Soaring synths and dreamy, atmospheric lyrics, new single ‘Radio Wires’ is hauntingly beautiful. The tempo is high and groovy. Something you can easily dance to.

Recorded in Liverpool and Ellesmere by Luke Done (Attic Sounds) the band draws influences from the likes of New Order, the Jesus & Mary Chain, Air, Suicide and The Teardrop Explodes.

If you live in or near Liverpool then I suggest supporting your local music scene and check this trio out as they continue to develop their unique synth-pop-punk sound in amidst the Liverpool music scene.
