Blaenavon unveil new track ‘Alice Comes Home’ ahead of debut release

Blaenavon

Blaenavon are releasing their highly-anticipated debut album That’s Your Lot via Transgressive Records on 7th April.

The Hampshire outfit have treated us to another one of its tracks and made the wait a little more bearable. The band have been relentlessly touring including; a huge UK tour supporting Sundara Karma, a European tour as support for Two Door Cinema Club and a series of shows in the US at SXSW.

Today’s release, Alice Come Home follows their most recent track, Orthodox Man, which set high expectation of the album. The new track has provided a reminder of why the album is going to be huge.

The new track is simply a roller-coaster. Starting off with Ben providing calming vocals and soothing guitar, the track undulates until it explodes into a passage full of energy and passion before returning to the encompassing calming sound.

‘Alice Come Home’, includes murmurs which really sum up the brooding aura which is at the heart of the single. It’s the firework nature, a melodic sixth sense and an eerie atmosphere, that has people excited by Blaenavon. The vocals and ever-changing style of ‘Alice Comes Home’ is a characteristic which can be likened to the indie-giants, Foals. Alice Come Home is the track you need after a stressful day and you can just put on repeat and instantly calms you down.

Blaenavon open their tour tomorrow (24th March) at the Komedia Studios, Brighton and will have their finale at Heaven, London on 7th April, the release day of ‘That’s Your Lot’. The Trio will also play in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool. The Hampshire trio have also released a live recording of ‘Alice Comes Home’ in NYC.
