Artist Spotlight – Tom Walker

Tom Walker

The critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Tom Walker is our Artist Spotlight this week after the extremely successful release of his debut EP ‘Blessings’.

Hit single off the EP, ‘Just You And I’ is driven by delicate acoustic guitars, immersive production, soulful delivery making it a beautifully written song that has reached over 15 million plays on Spotify Tom shows his ability to make equally beautifully intimate and fantastically upbeat tracks.

Talking about the track Walker said: “It’s a track about just being able to open up about your most personal faults to that one special person, especially when you don’t get to seem them that often. But knowing everything will work out in the end because together you can get through anything.”

The EP features three new tracks written by Tom Walker produced by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) alongside an alternative version of Play Dead. The EP shows the two sides to Tom Walker, the intimate stripped back side (as seen on lead track ‘Blessings’) and the more up-beat, produced side on ‘Karma’ and ‘Rapture’.

He’s spent the past few years honing his sound, landing in a house-share with twelve other musicians (including members of Whilk & Misky), jamming together in their home-built, soundproof studio.

Tom Walker is to head out supporting George Ezra on his sold out Top Secret Tour this Friday (May 26th).
