2018 Ones To Watch #26 – Caro

caro

Leeds three-piece Caro are an infectious example of dreamy alt-pop that will make your head swirl into a soft gooey mess.

Stuttering, distorted guitars are juxtaposed with the melodic warmth of the vocal, building into a track that matures and evolves on every listen. The band released their first single of 2018, ‘Lick Your Lips’ today (January 26). Demonstrating the hardworking and hands-on nature of Caro as it was produced by the band, and written by frontman Adam – who also painted the album artwork.

Caro are now also a Momentum artist under the support from the PRS Foundation – the UK’s leading funder of new music and talent development. This is a huge step in the progression of the band. With this backing, the band will have the capability to expand their reach and get more songs released – music to our ears.

The band have released a string of singles since 2016 including ‘Closest Lunatic’, ‘Cold Comfort’ and  ‘Eyes On The Ground‘ building up huge support from BBC Radio superstars Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq the boys are well on their way to being one of the hottest new bands this year.
