2017 Ones To Watch #16 – Honey Lung

With 2016 over, we look ahead to what musical talent 2017 can offer, and with the masses of acts out there in the industry there is plenty for us to get excited about. Throughout January, ICM will be highlighting one new band each day and showing just why they should be on your music radar. Our 16th band is Honey Lung.

With electrifying and gritty fuzz-laden guitar and captivating tunes, London based Honey Lung are sure to be on our radar in 2017.

Honey Lung play audacious and bold alternative rock tunes, with their recordings capturing a real live energy. Honey Lung have influences such as ‘Ride’ and ‘Sonic Youth’, and manage to infuse these influences with their own unique sound.
2016 saw a huge success for the alternative rock quartet, not only did they release their new EP ‘Kind of Alone’ back in November, but they also played a rowdy EP release gig as well as making waves on ‘Radio X’.

Already, 2017 has seen Honey Lung receive airtime on BBC Introducing with none other than Huw Stephens, as well as playing their first ever gig in the capital. They’re beginning to make huge waves; so keep your eyes peeled, as they’re our ones to watch today.

We will be announcing a new band every day throughout the entirety of January and the ICM long list will be announced on February 1st.
