Yonaka make long-awaited return with empowering anthem ‘Seize The Power’

Yoanaka make their long-awaited return since their debut album with new single ‘Seize The Power’.

The Brighton-based rockers have gone for a striking cinematic approach to their single with empowering riffs and lead singer Theresa Jarvis’s urgent spoken-word, which commands attention from the get go.

Yonaka produced the track themselves to an exceptional level. The instrumentals feel like you’re immersed in the cinema watching something like Inception and the vocals have a frightening tone to them.

Speaking of the single, the band said: “We are so excited for the world to hear Seize The Power.

“It’s been so long since we released new music and the time has finally come; this is a new chapter for us.

“We want you to get lost in a feeling of strength and empowerment when listening to this song.”

‘Seize The Power’ is just the beginning of what’s to come from the raucous four-piece this year.

The official music video will premiere on YouTube tonight at 8pm, shortly after a live Q&A with the band at 7.30pm. Tune in here.

2019 saw YONAKA release their highly esteemed debut album, Don’t Wait ‘Til Tomorrow. Met with critical acclaim, the 11-track album has racked up a whopping 58 million streams on Spotify.

Since its release, the band have been holed up in their Brighton home studio honing their craft, and finally creating the music they have always want to.
