The turbulent trio, The Orders, have another knockout track, and take it from me, you’ll want to hear this.
For those who are unfamiliar with the band; The Orders consist of three lads from the Isle of Wight; Kyle Chapman (guitar and vocals), Josh Edwardo (drums), and Isaac Snow (bass). Easily the best that the Isle has to offer and incomparible to any others, the band come paired with an unbelievable amount of energy and a raw sound that is wholly unprecedented.
A distinctive guitar melody opens the track, sneaking a prominent minor chord into the mix; slowly becoming a staple of The Orders’s music. With a slight discordant edge, the song drifts seamlessly into psychedelic vocals carried by blunt, almost tribal drumbeats. High powered, thick sounding guitar and bass pierces the subdued harmonies, pushing the song through a wall of energy and noise with a classic rock feel. Almost nonsensical lyrics return with the same melody part, now driven by vigorous drumbeats. Constantly looping back on itself; indecisive over subdued melodies and full bodied rock, The Orders have landed with a song that’ll keep you on your toes to say the very least.
How the three lads have managed to conjure up 4 minutes of energy ridden mastery is incredible – high octane doesnt come close. Having seen the band live a few times, every note played is done with conviction, yet without the egotistical aura that you would expect to come with it. The drummer alone plays like he’s hooked up to an IV that’s supplying a mix of redbull and blue smarties straight into his blood stream.
A mix of potent vocals and indistinguishable lyrics gives a dreamy touch to such a hard-edged instrumental. I absolutely love the sound of this track, ‘Big Foot’ is genius and insanity emulsified.
