Indie pop four-piece ‘The Hunna’ have just released the third promotional single from their upcoming album ‘Dare’.
‘Flickin’ your hair’ was premiered on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday night (11th January) and gave fans an enhanced glimpse into their long-awaited second studio album.
The track sees the band heading a little out of their comfort zone of indie pop and going for a bit of a heavier sound with this. The track opens with pounding drums before introducing the strikingly rhythmic riff that builds to the chorus.
While the instrumentals are fresh the lyrics fail to impress as overall there is just a lack of substance. The majority of the track just repeats the lines ‘It’s in the way that you flickin’ your hair’ and’ It’s in the way that you give me that stare’ this actually becomes a little annoying after the while and I feel the lyrics do slightly let the song down.
However, putting the lacklustre lyrics aside this track does present real promise for the upcoming album!
