Rosehip Teahouse drop music video for the dreamy ‘No Gloom’

Bedroom-pop specialists Rosehip Teahouse share new video for their track ‘No Gloom’, taken from Fine EP.

Spawning several acclaimed singles including enthralling lead track ‘I Meant What I Said’ and sprawling follow-up ‘A Million Times’, the Welsh newcomers’ ‘Fine’ EP, released last month, expanded on the band’s already earned widespread approval.

With their delicate collection of dreamy soundbites shine the spotlight on creative mastermind Faye Rogers’ vivid songwriting capabilities to sublime effect.

Breaking out from a bustling Cardiff scene that’s already produced fellow indie risers Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, the band’s biographical, heartfelt approach to their material has certainly resonated amongst key industry gatekeepers.

Detailing their new video, drummer Will Dickens explained: “‘We had loads of ideas going into filming this video, lots of places we wanted to shoot and things we wanted to try and experiment with.

“But as soon as we got into the hall and Joe showed some of the footage played back, we realised that’s all we needed.

“The lighting was too good and Faye’s dog Chucky was enjoying himself so much. It was one of those times where you realise you’re better off not over complicating things and just running with the simplest idea till you can’t squeeze anything else out of it. And we’re really happy with the result.”

Produced by Thomas Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) and mixed by Eddie Al-Shakarchi (Boy Azooga), Rosehip Teahouse’s ‘No Gloom’ is out now via Big Indie Records and available on all digital platforms.

With further releases lined up for 2021, momentum is sure to intensify.
