Riscas are back with their latest jangly guitar pop track ‘Right Kinda Day’.
The unsigned quartet based in Birmingham mark a more mature sound, eschewing their trademark guitar pop for pounding rhythms, massive festival ready choruses and a good dollop of nostalgia to boot.
Forming less than a year ago after first meeting at an Access To Music college course in Birmingham, Riscas – comprised of vocalist and bassist George Maycock, guitarists Tom Barker and Eph Dodd and completed by drummer Dan Parrot – have quickly marked themselves out as a live band to keep an eye on.
In 2017 they have headlined the BBC Introducing stage at Lakefest and played the Big Top stage at Wychwood Festival via BBC Introducing, as well as being on the final BBC Introducing shortlist for Glastonbury.
There’s exciting things ahead for the band, they have five UK tour dates in January and some new music in the pipeline 2018 is going to be their best year to date.
Riscas have a couple of UK tour dates:
19th Jan – Birmingham, Mama Roux’s
20th Jan – Leeds, The Lending Room
22nd Jan – Coventry, Kasbah
23rd Jan – Manchester, Jimmy’s
26th Jan – London, Hoxton Square B&K
