After spending most of 2017 locked away in the studio, Only Shadows are back new and improved with their latest cut ‘Escape’.
Produced by Bruce Rintoul (Twin Atlantic, Fatherson), Only Shadows have matured their sound giving it a heavy punch to the likes of Twin Atlantic, Deaf Havana and Mallory Knox – most likely gaining some of that sound from Rintoul’s influence.
‘Escape’ is the follow up to ‘Fight Milk‘ the track brings out the bands angrier side to their indie rock. Written during some dark days for the band as Nick Ashby (lead vocals) explains “The song came from frustration & anger of the repetition of life, maybe coming from a small town has led to those feelings.
“It’s about getting out of it and doing something about it, not taking no for an answer”.
