LISTEN: Get Inuit – Barbiturates

Get Inuit

Greatest Discovery nominees, Get Inuit have release new track, ‘Barbiturates’.

Although ‘Barbiturates’ is a new track, it is one that the fans will instantaneously recognise as it is a live performance favourite.

“The song is broadly about someone slowly but surely becoming dependent on a drug to live a normal life,” singer Jamie Glass explains. “The song depicts a person’s need to take barbiturates to be able to function and move without pain whilst also becoming addicted. The music is meant to characterize the mood swings that a person goes through when needing sedation, with heavy guitar and screams representing the pain and mental anguish, with the quiet sections showing a more controlled state.”

Get Inuit have had an incredible 2016, touring with the likes of Slaves, Spring King and Vant. Huw Stephens and Annie Mac are also cemented Get Inuit fans having offered exemplary amounts of radio play. More recently, Get Inuit have bagged themselves the same management that shot Wolf Alice to fame. Surely great things await?
