Favourite Live Performance Nomination #5 – Black Honey

Black Honey

When it comes to music, live performances are arguably one the greatest ways to listen to music. Tours, Festivals, Busking, whatever the weather you can always guarantee that the music fans will pull through and support new emerging talent. Over the past 12 months we’ve been lucky enough to attend some of the summer-weekend festivals, the inner-city gems and even catch bands up and down the country at some of the best venues that the UK has to offer.

Black Honey stormed the stage over the summer at one of the best medium-sized music festivals putting on quite a spectacle for fans. At Y Not festival which has the perfect atmosphere in my opinion for eccentric music fans, Black Honey closed the Jack Daniels This Feeling stage in incredible efforts.

From start to finish Black Honey was full of energy, surging into the crowd and infecting everyone with uncontrollable freedom. The Tent itself helped craft this gig as it enclosed the music fans into what could be seen as a small-space-induced mosh pit. Not to mention the tent itself only served Jack Daniels… That probably would have got the crowd into the dance frame of mind.

Black Honey performed all their killer tracks, some of which, ‘Corrine’, ‘All My Pride’, ‘Madonna’ & ‘Headspin’. Although no album is seen yet from these guys, they’ve still managed to get their songs out there to the fans. Undoubtably due to dedication and by the help of others.

They have had an incredible year to say the least and that is why their charisma and passion on stage has landed them on our Favourite Live Performance shortlist for ICM Awards.

The winner of each category will announced on 3oth of December.
