Deep in the heart of Massachusetts indie rock trio Driip are making some waves with ‘I Can’t Help It’ and they’re heading towards the UK.

The trio hailing from Boston are comprised of Ryan J. Clary (vocals, guitar, production), Heather Banak (vocals, bass) and Lemmy Maldanado on drums and take to the likes of The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr. Dre, REO Speedwagon.

I never thought I’d see Dr. Dre and The Beatles in the same sentence, but here we are! Their new single ‘I Can’t Help It’ was produced and recorded solely by Ryan during quarantine.

The track discusses his long-distance relationship, which was also a big influence on the Happy Face EP.

“The title ‘I Can’t Help It’ is kind of tongue and cheek,” said the band. “As much as Ryan would love to write about something else, he can’t help writing about this experience.”

Hooking you with bold riffs and atmospheric vocals, the single swiftly moves the waves as the melody and mood work in perfect harmony. If you’re planning to go for a long coastal drive, this would be perfect for your playlist.

This is music to blast to in your headphones and bounce around in your underwear when you need to feel better. Have a listen to the single from Driip below. Don’t forget to leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10!
