Darcie returns with exciting new single ‘Silence’

The exciting dreamy pop project in Manchester, Darcie returns with new single ‘Silence’.

The multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Zigi Porter is now the sole person behind the venture following the departure of her counterpart Tom Donaldson.

Darcie’s music comes across as a subtle yet coy feel. Musically, she draws on the DIY feel of soul and lo-fi. Her misty tones blend seamlessly with warm harmonies that float over industrial drums and chorus heavy instrumentation.

‘Silence’ creating a warm blend of pop with a distinctive sound. Zigi’s vocals are crisper than ever before as she turns up the production game to produce a striking track infusing electronic elements.

Darcie now performs live shows alongside the very talented guitarist Christ Larcombe and keyboard player/ producer Corben Lamb, whilst singing and swapping between bass, guitar and keys herself.

Along with these traditional instruments, she also experiments with technology running with track and triggering different percussive elements throughout her sets.

Darcie has self-released seven singles co-written with old drummer and producer Tom as well as a mini EP ‘Darling’ and a music video for her hit single ‘Litter’.

Currently, she is working on new music having released her latest single: ‘Silence’, which takes on a fiercer alt-pop tone than previous light hearted soul-pop singles.
