Darcie is the duo project of multi-instrumentalist Tom Donaldson and singer-songwriter Zigi Porter, making dreamy lo-fi soul pop in Manchester and are back with their third single ‘Litter’.
After being together for just 3 months, Donaldson and Porter have performed at multiple venues in and around Manchester and have released two singles ‘Boxes’ and ‘Them’, whilst continuing to develop their ideas in their home studio.
Musically drawing on the DIY feel of artists such as Steve Lacy and Rex Orange County, alongside the soulful influences of Jorja Smith and Tom Misch, Darcie have a distinctive sound that shows on ‘Litter’.
The track is one huge musical experiment – trying new technology whilst incorporating traditional instruments – it’s something very unique and original that anyone listening would want to listen to more.
In 2018, the pair want to maintain their initial momentum, writing and performing as much as possible
With an EP on the way this year, alongside music videos and more singles there’s plenty to get excited about.
