Alex Tracey is a new name on the block. After taking some time out to work on his music and sound. He now returns with his latest single ‘Crazy’.
His debut single ‘Same Old Animals’ attracted the likes of BBC Introducing and Close-Up Promotions. This new track has been described as “funk meeting indie-pop”. Tracey is for fans of The 1975 and Fickle Friends; with a sound like The 1975 mixed with Oscar and Will Joseph Cook.
‘Crazy’ has an electronic beat and has a highly addictive yet playful aura. Alex has brought catchy lyrics and a head-bobbing beat which oozes with a summery indie-pop feel. Alex Tracey will now be touring his single with shows in Manchester (23rd January) and Leeds (26th January). These will definitely be ones you do not want to miss.
Speaking about the track, Tracey said: “‘Crazy’ is definitely the most ME record I’ve released so far. It really is just a showcase of what I’m all about as a musician, and what it is about music that I love.
“At heart, it’s really an exploration of risk and freedom, conveyed through the context of a failing relationship. Why stick around with what you’ve got when there’s so much more out there?
Love Alex so much! The new song is outstanding, but I think he should do more marketing for it.
