The Shelter create head-rocking indie rock ‘n’ roll

Mexican rock duo The Shelter are fresh onto the music scene this year and they’ve already set a strong precedent.

Having only formed in January this year, Javier (bass) and Elías (vocals) have set an ambitious goal; to release a new song and music video every month until December.

One of those tracks is ‘Roads of México’. Whilst discussing agoraphobia and anxiety, the single is a gritty track with punk-like vocals. The foot-stomping beat and head-rocking anthem is a pure slice of rock ‘n’ roll.

Whilst staying true to influences such as Led Zeppelin, Ramones, T-Rex, Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age or Iron Maiden, The Shelter add their own personal touch.

The Shelter have previously worked with Arturo Vega (Artistic director for the Ramones) and performed in numerous local venues in Mexico City like Imperial, Caradura, Foro Galera and have even played live in New York City at Bar 9.

‘Roads of México’ is the third release from the duo and you can watch the music video for it below. Other tracks include the heavy-hitting ‘Black Philip’, funky and groovy ‘Misconceptions’ and latest effort ‘This Is Not Even Something’.
