The Lotts embrace ferocious punk rock with indie rock ‘n’ roll

Warrington based garage-punk outfit The Lotts embrace ferocious, fast paced beats as they release debut EP ‘We Are The Lotts’.

Formed in 2018, The Lotts’ live set encapsulates everything that the band stand for. Do it fast, do it loud.

Working at a phenomenal pace, the band wrote five songs per day over three days, to result with their end product ‘We Are The Lotts’.

The title track fires up the EP wit you classic high-octane rock in a sweet two-minute 20 second burst whilst ‘I Don’t’ and ‘Dumb’ have thick riffs. Their raw melodies break through the beat which move swiftly into ‘Preacher Man,’ what is arguably the most complex out of the five and offers the listener a proper buckle up indie rock ‘n’ roll vibe.

Final track ‘Mouth’ is over four-minutes long – double that to the rest – and is more mellow in beat and focuses more on deep vocals and grungy tones.

Nailing their craft at Monmouth’s Rockfield Studios, Henry Bucanan (Vocals & Guitar), Adam Bridge (Guitar), Joel Norton (Drums) and Jamie Evans (Bass) worked with producer Tim Lewis who polished up their gritty sound.

As far as the band are concerned it’s Garage Punk. “It’s just simple energetic rock, what’s wrong with that? We don’t write songs to tick a certain box or whatever. It’s music for people who like it simple and stupid,” said Henry.

“Simple and a bit gross,” according to Adam. “We just want people to get weird with us, you know?”
