2018 Ones To Watch #29 – Jordan Allen

Jordan Allen

Rising rock star Jordan Allen has conquered the North of England, now it’s time to take on the rest of the UK.

The Bolton-based quartet have established themselves as a must-see act with their energetic live performances and honest and catchy tunes

Making waves early on in 2017 with their triumphant and touching ‘Livin’ La Vida Bolton’ charity EP, the band played the sold-out Manchester Academy supporting The Sherlocks and had the fun task of switching on the Christmas lights in Bolton.

Latest cut ‘R.O.S.I.E’ is a take on a true story about Allen’s time at Uni, where he hardly saw a girl on his course because she was having mad three-day benders. It’s an effervescent single dedicated to a certain femme fatale with an appetite for the wilder things in life. She also features on the cover image and is in the official music video below.

Recorded in Manchester and produced by David Rahad-Jones, this new studio recording has all the hallmarks of the original demo that had become a party-starting staple in their live cannon, but reworked with the tempo-upped for an added electric intensity.

Jordan Allen also went out on a 16 date headline Autumn tour – where seven dates sold-out – showcasing their fans some of the new material they have in store for us, which we will most likely see released this year.

The band stated that playing across the country is “such an honour” and say there is “some great stuff recorded for 2018”. The momentum was already huge in 2017 and there is no doubt that it will continue into 2018.
