Trudy and The Romance drops Americana inspired single ‘The Last Rodeo’

Channelling the energy of Bruce Springsteen, Trudy and The Romance makes a grand return with a fresh new sound releasing new single ‘The Last Rodeo’.

Alongside April’s ‘Angel’ the sound continues to evolve following the acclaimed debut album ‘Sandman’ in 2019.

‘The Last Rodeo’ sees Trudy’s American-inspired rock ‘n’ roll play over a smoky, swampy back-alley production and show-stopping ballads.

Taylor explains the themes behind the new single – a Western inflected carpe diem: “It felt like it was time to smash through the glass, grab the jewels and run baby! Is it always gonna be one last rodeo?

“Do you keep running a thousand miles or stick around for a hustle you may never understand? Nobody can get along in this world alone – be a fool for somebody, face the sharks, and dance with the good guys, trust yourself, and live free. You can’t keep waiting for the next voyage to be over. You are captain of the ship and your days are already here.”

Over the past half-decade Trudy and The Romance have established a cult fandom smitten with their time-travelling take on the Golden Age of Disney, Jonathan Richman and Brian Wilson’s wall of sound, and Henry Mancini and Bernard Hermann scores.
