By One of the main things that gets us music fans through our day to day routine is having an impeccable music playlist to hand. No matter what the occasion we all like to tailor a playlist to our liking. However, without the vital resource of new music this simply wouldn’t be possible. Our sound of 2016 is one of the best we’ve had in recent years and owe a huge thank you to the musical talent supplying us with awesome tracks!
You Me At Six have returned since the 2014 LP, ‘Cavalier Youth’, and oh how wonderful it is! You Me At Six are one of those bands that have matured over the years as so have I. That’s what probably makes them so relevant so many years on since their debut.
They announced over the summer that they have been working on new material and kicked things off with, ‘Night People’. The soon to be title track on the latest album which is set for release on 6th of January.
Since then they have toured the UK playing at venues such as Nottingham Rock City and Cambridge Corn Exchange with newbies Vant. They have also released 3 more tracks in anticipation of the new album and are set to tour it across the EU and UK in March and April.
They have made our shortlist on the basis that Night People is a calling. It is demanding that all those who relate to being youthful, stand up and embrace life. That’s what I took from the song anyway. And for that reason it has been on our radar on repeat for the past 4 months and it is well deserving of a spot on our shortlist.
