Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison drop thrilling debut EP ‘Sign of the Times’
Indie rockers Tom Lonely & The Brave Liaison have finally dropped their debut EP ‘Sign of the Times’ as they continue to go full pelt in these troubling times.
The Cambridge-based quartet have been sky skyrocketing to astronomical heights ever since they jumped onto the scene in 2017 and 2020 is where they’re at their highest peak yet.
The ICM Ones To Watch 2020 artist is in full swing delivering a grand guitar hook and some of the most addictive, arena-sized vocals and lyrics you’ll hear in a long time.
Previous single ‘Shrink’ is a blistering anthem with emotive talking points, beefy guitar work and ferocious drums. It addresses issues concerning mental health – a theme that Tom and co revisit throughout the EP.
Also on the EP includes ‘New York Paranoia’, 2019’s hit single ‘Casual’ and Let Go;’ indie powerhouse records that show true grit and punk attitudes that keep you gripped.
On the EPs deeper meaning, the band added: “Each song on this EP centres around the mental health issues that many of us face on a day to day basis. By writing and releasing this body of work, we hope to strengthen the ideology in people’s minds that it’s okay to talk about what they’re going through.
“Social media can put copious amounts of pressure on people, as we chase an impossible ideal of someone else’s highlight reel. The breakdown of relationships that come from us spending too much time glued to our phones and not enough time connecting on a human, personal level are regrettably the signs of our times.”
‘Sign of the Times’ is a combination of real-talk indie triumphs that showcase the band in their most exciting light to date. Featuring anthemic, big-room moments from start to finish, Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison are constantly craving for more. Fingers crossed they’ll be heading out on the road to celebrate their new release.
