The Novus blend grunge and punk with spiralling rock guitars

The Novus

Becoming one of the most hotly tipped acts for 2020, The Novus captivate audiences with their new single ‘Frosty’.

The Birmingham quartet are four post 2000 Generation Z childhood friends, Connor (vocals), Tom (guitar), Tyla (bass guitar) and Euan (drums) with a knack for high octane indie rock.

‘Frosty’ is another addition their sound; screaming, psychedelic punk painted onto a backdrop of buzzing, grunge mayhem. It’s a love song, is unlike the ballads of many artists, the track springs-up, defiant and fighting for breath in the aftermath of a broken romance.

With a mind-bending blend of grunge, punk, spiralling guitars and bleak realism The Novus put on shows to be remembered, it’s just unfortunate no one can actually see them in action for a few weeks, or months.

But have no fear, this new breed of guitar bands including the likes of Fontaines DC, Inhaler and False Heads this band have a bright future ahead.
