Following the release of their debut EP ‘The Classic Way of Things’, Leeds quartet Sounds Like a Storm make a bold return with a demo of their new single ‘Try and Entertain Me’.

In reflection of the world problems, the new and improved outfit, take on a whole new musical level, that amplifies the bands technically, theatrical live shows and relentless work ethic.

Sounds Like a Storm performed ‘Try and Entertain Me’ in 2018 for ICM TV’s second episode as well as three other tracks including a cover of ‘Tainted Love’.

Recorded at Nave Studios, it’s a punk-rock anthem channelling anger and current climax of the world. With music at the heart of the system, honest, powerful sing-a-longs are exactly what the band creates: channelling the punk rock attitude with arena-filling anthems.

The lyrics are direct orders, painting images of society and portraying the inner frustration from the youth. On record, ‘Try and Entertain Me’ takes influence from The Blinders and Arctic Monkeys, with subtle nods to IDLES. Expected to be enjoyed by fans of The Clash, Royal Blood, The Blinders and Frank Carter.

With sell-out shows nationwide, they show no signs of slowing down. The band thrives on what the future holds, rather than being nostalgic over the achievements they have under their belt.
