East Denistone – Soulful Alt-Rock

East Denistone

East Denistone, a one-man project from Australia has dropped his debut EP ‘While You Still Draw Breath’.

Singer-songwriter Marcus named the project after his hometown project to funnel ideas drawn from a long and intimate relationship with music. From early childhood, his parents enrolled him into piano lessons as part of a noble ambition to provide a well-rounded upbringing.

Kicking off with ‘All My Crooked Bones’, the track starts with a crashing of drums and raw electronic riffs stand out throughout but also has some elements of acoustic rock as Marcus captures all atmospheric soundscapes.

Other singles ‘Well Worn Portraits’ and ‘Ward’ venture in a DIY acoustic rock sound that focuses more on the vocal aspects of Marcus’ work.

He said: “‘All My Crooked Bones’ is more twisted of a song than you’d think. The gentle ride apexes with a gallant but manic ending. We’d all been there, right?”

Collecting influences from all aspects of the human experience, Marcus consciously chooses to dedicate time to writing about issues in which he feels affect not only himself, but the world around him, laced with a deeply rooted fascination with people’s motivations, their cultures, and the legacy they leave once their time is over.
