Hailing from Cardiff, Monico Blonde are one of the UK’s best kept indie-pop secrets. We found the Welsh quartet on SoundCloud the other day armed with only their debut single ‘Breathe’ to show for. But it’s a great indie rock tune. They combine choruses lavished in wetsuit-tight harmonies with big, brash guitar hooks. Recorded at Vale Studios in Worcestershire with well-known producer Gethin Pearson (The Enemy, Radio On and JAWS).
The newcomers have been creating a big buzz the last couple of weeks. And with more music on the way for sure their only way is up. ‘Breathe’ is a superb debut song to kick start their professional music careers.
